Emergency job in the Batavia port

In the Batavia port near Lelystad, just 100 meters from the Bataviastad outlet center and just in front of the replica of the 17th century VOC ship the ‘Batavia’, the German inland vessel the Mai-W was moored because a rope was tangled in the propeller.

A DTS diving team headed to Flevoland early in the morning and arrived on site at 7:30 AM to clear the ship’s propeller, so that the ship could continue its journey that same morning.

In the event of emergencies involving ships, especially cargo ships, speed is always required. After all, shipping is always under great time and performance pressure.
