DTS Diving is ‘at home’ in the northern seaports

Eemshaven, Delfzijl, Lauwersoog, Holwerd and Harlingen are seaports in the Northern Netherlands where DTS is regularly active. Not only are the ferry connections to the Wadden Islands maintained from these northern ports – all kinds of goods are transshipped in the ports and Eemshaven in particular facilitates various offshore projects, including for the energy transition. The ports therefore contribute significantly to the economic development of the Northern Netherlands. The ports and the industries associated with them also provide many employment opportunities.

A diving team is regularly called in to assist in the event of an emergency, to carry out an inspection of a ship or underwater infrastructure, and to carry out (emergency) repairs and other underwater work on ships, quays, sheet piling, jetties, ship docks and other constructions in and under water.

We only use well-trained and fully certified divers who have the necessary expertise. In addition, our material trucks are fully equipped to carry out all conceivable construction work underwater, such as underwater welding, burning, drilling and sawing. We also offer the option of using an ROV (underwater drone) for assistance with underwater inspections.

Because we are located in the province of Groningen and divers are also active for us in Friesland, our arrival time to the ports is very short; We can be on location with a full dive team within 1.5 hours (!) after your call. Especially in the event of calamities involving ships, it is very important to resolve them quickly, as the shipping industry is under great time and performance pressure.

Because we are often present in the ports, we have built up extensive expertise in maritime services. The main activities of our extensive port service package include:

• Repairs of steel and steel structures
• Inspecting and repairing ships
• Propeller clearing and polishing
• Detecting and removing maritime fouling and final finishing of ships and structures
