DTS Emergency Service: always quickly on site

Our emergency service is the showpiece of our services. In 2023, we were able to guarantee an average response time of 1 – 1.5 hours in the provinces of Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe, even when a fourth diver was needed.

Last week also, there was a number of emergencies that required us to arrive on site quickly. Our divers braved the cold to carry out a propeller and rudder inspection on a tugboat in Groningen. We couldn’t get anything out of it, probably there was a defect in the propeller shaft.
A fishing cutter was moored in the Beatrixhaven (Eemshaven) and we removed rope from the propeller.

But we also quickly took action further away from home. At 6:00 PM we received a call from Amsterdam with the request to recover a car. Our diving team was on site at 8:30 PM. Good teamwork with the client allowed the car to be quickly removed from the water so that the waterway was quickly cleared again.
